Soon, we encounter the Kusichaca Stream and after crossing it we find ourselves on a steep cliff and looking down on an impressive Inca Ruin (Llactapata - 2650m). The Classic Inca Trail is shorter and begins at Km. 88 and that would have joined us at this point. Some companies choose to camp at Llactapata to end Day 1, but we move on towards Huayllabamba. |
